Contact nowThe Island La Palma (in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife) is known as the Green Island or the Island of Stars. Its slopes are covered with lush Laurel forests and Pines woods while pine trees and brooms hold tight to its rocky summits. Pine trees, laurel forests are some of the outstanding natural beauty or attractions of the Island that led UNESCO to declare it as a World Biosphere Reserve, with a network of over thousand kilometres followed by the European Rules & Norms.
La Palma is home to the Caldera de Taburiente National Park and nature reserves (35% of its surface area), where El Roque de los Muchachos, at an altitude of 2.426m, and thanks to its special and excellent natural conditions, it has converted as one of the most prominent places in the World for astronomical observation. Its volcanic origin with lava flows and volcanoes in the south are still warm where six of the volcanoes are surrounded by the green forest. This gives the Island an amazing variety of landscapes. It is a fantastic place to enjoy nature and the sea.
